In 2014, Shrimp Daddy introduced Taipei to the California-style seafood boil. The OG concept. The one that started it all. A decade before DDG became a dining group, there was a bag of buttered shrimp and a table covered in newspaper.
The idea was simple: take the communal, messy, joyful seafood boil culture from the California coast and bring it to Taiwan. Whole shrimp, shell-on, tossed in your choice of bold sauces, dumped on the table. No utensils required. No pretension allowed.
Shrimp Daddy is where the DDG story begins, and where the spirit of the whole group lives. Made by ABCs for ABCs, built on the belief that great food should bring people together and make everyone feel like they're at the best backyard party they've ever been to.
